CHAPTER NEWS

Since 1936, Delta Gamma’s mission has been to improve the quality of life for those who are visually impaired. Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, was created to help a member of the sorority who had visual impairments. Here at Pi Chapter, we have made Braille cards, held Anchor Slam, worked with the university to promote eye care awareness and held several fundraisers to raise money for Service for Sight. Our goal is to enhance the lives of those who have lost their sight, and help prevent the future loss of sight in others.

Joining Forces

Official Philanthropy - Service for Sight

This past year, Delta Gamma added another part to the existing Service for Sight philanthropy. Service for Sight: Joining Forces is a program committed to providing aid for members in all branches of the military who have injuries resulting in vision loss. The purpose of this is to build a bridge for Delta Gamma collegians and alumnae to support and give back to those service men and women who have experienced vision impairment, eye trauma or vision loss.

OULA Fundraiser

Anchor Slam

This past semester our big fundraising event was an OULA Fundraiser taught by a current member of our chapter, Jeni Comstock! This event took place at the Downtown Dance Collective on April 28th. Many Delta Gamma collegians and alumnae, as well as other people in the community, came to support our philanthropy. All of the proceeds went to Service for Sight to help people with visual impairments.

Anchor Slam is Pi Chapter's biggest fundraiser. It is a three on three basketball tournament held at the University of Montana Schreiber gym. All the proceeds go towards Detla Gammas philanthropy: Service for Sight. This money is used to help and support people with visual impairments. In addition to raising money for a good cause, we have a lot of fun!
